By registering with GlobalBidders.com you agree to become a potential bidder and accept the terms and conditions set out below. By registering or using any services provided by GlobalBidders.com you will be deemed to have accepted these terms on every subsequent occasion on which you use the GlobalBidders.com site or services. If you do not agree with the terms and conditions then you should not accept them and should not continue to use the site or any other services provided by GlobalBidders.com.
GlobalBidders.com is entitled to change these terms and conditions at its discretion without notice. The new terms and conditions will govern all GlobalBidders.com auctions and services. As the terms and conditions may change from time to time, the bidder should update their knowledge of the terms regularly.
Glossary
Bidder: a person who has registered and submits a bid for a specific product/service offered on the GlobalBidders website.
Bid: the amount of money that the bidder submits for a product/service in the GlobalBidders auction.
Bidding Fee: a non-refundable fee that is charged for each bid.
Lowest Unique Bid: a bid that is the lowest single bid amount for a specific GlobalBidders auction.
Credits: substitute used instead of cash to place bids.
Required Number of Bids : the number of bids required to close the auction.
Winning Bid: the lowest unique bid at the end of an auction for a particular product/service on a GlobalBidders auction.
Successful Bidder: the bidder who has the lowest unique bid at the end of an auction.
Agreement
By registering with GobalBidders.com you understand and agree to the terms and conditions as set out below.
GlobalBidders reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at its own discretion without notice.
Any changes to the terms and conditions will be published on the website.
Bidders
1.1 You must be aged 18 years or older to register or use any services provided by GlobalBidders.
1.2 You are legally permitted to participate in the auctions provided by GlobalBidders from the jurisdiction you are in at the time the bid was placed.
1.3 The success of GlobalBidders auctions relies on fair and honest participation by bidders. A bidder must not in any circumstances disclose details of their bid to any other person before the auction is closed. In particular, a bidder must not collude or enter into any arrangement of any sort with any other bidder(s).
Registration
2.1 GlobalBidders reserves the right to refuse to accept a registration and is not obliged to explain the reasons for doing so.
2.2 You will not deliberately provide any false, misleading or invalid information of any kind when registering or purchasing credits or when placing a bid.
2.3 You will keep registration and personal details up to date.
2.4 You agree to keep both your username and password confidential and are responsible for any misuse of them.
2.5 You agree to notify GlobalBidders immediately after any fraudulent use of your account is suspected. Once notified, GlobalBidders will suspend your account immediately until the situation is resolved.
Privacy Policy
3.1 GlobalBidder’s privacy policy can be seen in full on the website.
3.2 All personal details provided to GlobalBidders will be treated as confidential in accordance with GlobalBidder's Privacy Policy and the Data Protection Act 1998. GlobalBidders may however, disclose such personal information without consent if required to do so by law, or in response to a valid request from a law enforcement or government authority.
3.3 Once a GlobalBidders auction has closed, GlobalBidders will be entitled to use the winning bidder’s forename, surname, location, product and winning bid for publicity purposes.
Your Account
4.1 GlobalBidders reserves the right to close or suspend an account and refund any monies held, without the need to give a reason.
4.2 Any amount mistakenly credited to a bidders account remains the property of GlobalBidders. Such funds will be withdrawn from the bidders account and they will be notified of the transaction.
4.3 GlobalBidders reserves the right to request any form of identification before paying out any commissions, credits or shipping/providing any item/service.
Placing Bids
5.1 GlobalBidders reserves the right to cancel any bid or suspend any account without making a refund of the appropriate bidding fees or credits where:
- False information is provided by the bidder when using GlobalBidders.
- Where fraudulent activity is suspected.
- Collaboration between one or more other players is suspected.
- For any other reason deemed as unacceptable use of GlobalBidders' services.
- Any other breach of this agreement.
5.2 You agree that the bidding fee is non-refundable.
5.3 Once a bid is placed it cannot be cancelled or changed, under any circumstances.
5.4 Any amounts lost by bidders while using GlobalBidders are not recoverable, under any circumstances.
5.5 GlobalBidders shall not be liable for any causes preventing the receipt of bids for any reason, including but not limited to failure of any hardware or software providing access to the GlobalBidders website or servives.
Delivery of Products/Services
6.1 The product/service will be delivered to the winning bidder within 30 days after bids have been confirmed as stated in clause 7.3.
6.2 Products/services may be delivered to the successful bidders directly from the suppliers and no warranties are guaranteed by GlobalBidders.
6.3 GlobalBidders is not responsible for the quality of the products/services. Should there be a problem with an item, users should contact the manufacturer directly.
6.4 Should difficulties arise in the supply of the product/service, GlobalBidders reserves the right to substitute for items of a similar quality/price, or to purchase the winning bid from a user for the value of the item in question.
Determination of the Successful Bidder
7.1 The successful bidder is the one who has the lowest unique bid on any particular auction once it reaches its required number of bids and closes.
7.2 In the event of there being no successful lowest unique bid, then the successful bidder will be the person who placed the lowest bid amount first.
7.3 There may be a period of up to 72 working hours from the closure of an auction until the auction results are announced. This period is to allow for the reconciliation of bids and the auditing of results.
Delivery of Products/Services
8.1 All transfer and/or delivery costs of an item will be borne by GlobalBidders.com. GlobalBidders.com will do its best to prevent the succesful bidder from paying additional taxes or fees which may occur upon/during delivery of an item. Should any taxes or fees arise during delivery of an item, the successful bidder or winner understands and agrees that it is their responsibility to complete payment for such fees.
8.2 It should be understood that GlobalBidders.com is not the supplier of the products/services, and that the products/services may be supplied to successful bidders directly from the suppliers or the service providers, subject to the conditions stated in this agreement.
Publicity
9.1 Each bidder acknowledges that, if he/she becomes the successful bidder (winning bidder), GlobalBidders will be permitted to publicise his/her name, surname and location (not their personal address), winning bid amount, and the product /service, which was the subject of the relevant GlobalBidders.com auction.
Liability
10.1 GlobalBidders shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations under this agreement caused by matters beyond its reasonable control.
10.2 GlobalBidders shall not be liable to any bidder or successful bidder for any indirect or consequential loss or damage, or for any loss of data, profit, revenue or business, howsoever caused (whether arising out of any negligence or breach of this agreement or otherwise).
